I purchased this sub to replace a JL Audio 10w0 that was not a good match to my amplifier. The Amp was a competition amp that wanted to see a 1 ohm bridged load Pheonix Gold MPS 2240. I had 2 JL Audio 10w0 8ohm in a box it was ok producing around 103db. I hoped that by replacing them I could add another 5 or 6 db.
With the much more flexible wiring options of this sub with its DVC, I wired each in parallel and the pair in parallel providing the 1 ohm bridged load that I needed. The results were pretty literally mind blowing. The new subs produced 112db and a bit deeper bass. Very pleased.
